In his book Changing Church, Peter Wagner masterfully suggests where the Body of Christ is today. Historically we have been moving progressively from a very centralized idea of the Church to a very relational, cross-cultural, multi-generational, passionate, miraculous, God-focused worshipping Church much like the first church we read about in the book of Acts. This is, necessarily, producing a shaking among many. Not necessarily a shaking of church difficulties or doctrinal theology, but one of how church is done.
The Holy Spirit has made it apparent that a more servant oriented type of relational networks of pastors and churches is next on His agenda. In other words, a fresh wineskin is emerging in this hour. The church should be able to appreciate their past history, but be able to move forward by hearing the "now" word from the Holy Spirit.
Antioch Oasis International is not about you changing from one structure to another, but it is about serving you in seeing a fresh, new wineskin formed in each local church by the leadership of the Holy Spirit. It is about serving you, the local pastor and church, to discern, define and pursue your unique vision and calling of God. We do this by facilitating Christ-like relationships with other pastors and churches, as well as having available several resources to help you see your heart fulfilled in leading you church only upon request.
We provide a safe place for counsel with any personal situations which could arise, and strategies for planting churches and help in developing fruitful missions. We have available a dynamic prayer ministry for any prayer needs as well as assistance with youth. Our goal is that churches can mature to the place where they can resource each other in really creative ways.
We would love to see you become a part of what the Lord is doing in the world today by becoming a part of this network. You will be part of a larger whole that believes in local church autonomy along with providing you with the opportunity of participating in what God is doing through the forming of networks that actually network. If you feel the need for a few "fathers", we have them.
